1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are when you use the Ocean Strike mobile game (the "App") on iOS or Android, or visit the oceanstrike.app website. We keep the game deliberately lean: no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, no location tracking — only what the game needs to work.

3. What data we collect
3.1 Data you provide
- Sign-in identity. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider. You can also play anonymously — in that case we store no personal information about you, only a random account identifier.
- Username. The display name you choose. It is visible to other players (matches, friends, leaderboards).
3.2 Data collected automatically
- Gameplay records. Battle Rating, wins and losses, match history, your friends list, and online presence (whether you are currently online).
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token so we can deliver them. Disabling notifications removes its use.
- Purchase entitlements. When you buy Remove Ads, Apple or Google processes the payment and we verify the receipt on our servers to unlock your purchase. We never see or store your card details.
- Advertising identifiers. Ads are served by Google AdMob. On iOS, the advertising identifier is used only after you give App Tracking Transparency consent; without consent, ads remain non-personalized.
3.3 What we do not collect
The App contains no analytics SDKs and no crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect your location, your contacts, or any tracking data outside of the AdMob advertising described above.
4. Why we use your data
- To operate your account and run matches between players.
- To provide matchmaking, Battle Rating and leaderboards.
- To provide friend invites and presence.
- To deliver push notifications you opted into.
- To unlock and restore purchases.
- To show ads (non-personalized unless you consented).
5. Legal basis
We process gameplay and account data because it is necessary to provide the game (performance of a contract). Push notifications and personalized advertising rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Preventing cheating and abuse relies on our legitimate interest in keeping matches fair.
6. Processors we rely on
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, server functions and push messaging. Data is processed in the United States.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- Apple — App Store distribution and payment processing.
- Google — Google Play distribution and payment processing.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors listed above, and where the law requires disclosure. Your username and Battle Rating are visible to other players in matches and on leaderboards — that is part of how the game works.
8. Retention
Account and gameplay data are kept until you delete your account. Purchase and entitlement records are kept as long as the law requires us to keep transaction records.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and comparable laws you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. The fastest way to erase everything is in the App itself: Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your profile, statistics, friends and push tokens. You can also email us at support@oceanstrike.app and we will handle your request. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Security
All traffic uses TLS encryption. Access to stored data is restricted by Firebase security rules, and purchases are verified server-side so entitlements cannot be forged.
11. Children
The App asks your age before showing any ads. Sessions of players under 13 are tagged child-directed and receive only COPPA-compliant, non-personalized ads.
12. International transfers
Our processors (Google, Apple) process data in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with an updated date above.
